About the Role
Cummings Electrical is seeking a Senior Electrical Account Manager to lead a team of service electricians. The SAM will oversee, guide, and manage the work of contractors, vendors, suppliers, and employees. Responsibilities include efficient coordination and planning to ensure the team provides consistent, high-quality, cost-effective, and timely deliverables for multiple projects. This position ensures workplace health and safety requirements are met and promotes environmental stewardship and a safety-focused work culture. The role also involves working closely with the company’s management team in a decision-support capacity.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of up to 20 electricians.
- Oversee and manage contractors, vendors, suppliers, and employees to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Coordinate and plan electrical projects to maintain high-quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and promote environmental stewardship.
- Work closely with the management team in a decision-support capacity.
- Monitor staff performance and progress, motivate teams, and encourage productivity.
- Manage projects involving electrical/power systems such as UPS, switchgear, generators, and PDUs.
- Oversee electrical installation of equipment for high-profile projects.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Utilize computer tools such as Microsoft Suite and MS Project.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical construction industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or previous work as a Licensed Electrician/Supervisor.
- Experience with electrical/power systems such as UPS, switchgear, generators, and PDUs is required.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
