About the opportunity
Our client is a nationally recognized general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex, technically challenging projects across the mission critical sector. Due to continued growth and a robust project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead the execution of large-scale electrical scopes on hyperscale and enterprise data center projects. This individual will play a key role in driving project performance from preconstruction through commissioning while partnering closely with clients, trade partners, field leadership, and executive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of electrical project delivery, including planning, procurement, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout.
- Manage large electrical subcontractor packages and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Oversee project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, change management, and risk mitigation.
- Cook up with operations, preconstruction, field teams, design partners, commissioning agents, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and recovery plans where required.
- Ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence are maintained across all project activities.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Project Engineers, and support staff.
- Facilitate owner meetings, subcontractor meetings, and executive project reviews.
- Support business development, client relationship management, and strategic growth initiatives within the mission critical sector.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of electrical construction project management experience.
- Experience delivering large-scale mission critical, data center, advanced manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, or other highly technical construction projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, procurement strategies, commissioning processes, and project controls.
- Proven experience managing multimillion-dollar electrical scopes from inception through completion.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
- Able to travel as required.
