Senior Electrical Engineer - Test
About the role
This position is for a Senior Electrical Engineer with at least 5 years of professional experience on the Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Directorate team in Tucson, Arizona. The TEE Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon products, working hands‑on with the latest technology and tools to design, integrate, and maintain test systems for lab engineering and factory production. The role involves contributing to all stages of test product development, managing technical, cost, and schedule aspects, and independently or as part of a team uncovering and resolving issues associated with test product development and implementation. Responsibilities
- Design, development, and integrate Raytheon test products within Test Equipment Engineering in multidiscipline engineering teams
- Develop both engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis
- Contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development, and responsible for performing technical, cost and schedule management of assigned projects
- Act, either as a part of the team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of five (5) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and three (3) years of relevant experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
- U.S. citizenship is required (only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance)
- Experience with electrical engineering design to include troubleshooting, analysis, and test
- Experience using schematic capture tools and interpreting schematics
