About the Role
This position is for a Senior Electrical Engineer with at least 5 years of professional experience. The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon products. Engineers in this role design, develop, and integrate test systems, interface adapters, cabling, schematics, and circuit designs for both engineering and production environments.
This role supports products including the SM-6 missile (combining anti-air warfare, terminal ballistic missile defense, and anti-surface warfare) and the SM3-IIA/SM3-IB missiles (layered defense systems against ballistic missile threats).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate Raytheon test products within multidiscipline engineering teams.
- Develop engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawings, schematics, and circuit designs.
- Contribute to all stages of test product development, including technical, cost, and schedule management of assigned projects.
- Act independently or as part of a team to resolve issues in test product development and implementation.
- Design interface assemblies, select and integrate test instruments, and develop test systems for Raytheon products in both lab and factory settings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with electrical engineering design, including troubleshooting, analysis, and test.
- Proficiency with electrical engineering design and analysis tools (e.g., Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic).
- Experience with test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, power meters).
- Ability to use schematic capture tools and interpret schematics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science degree in STEM (ABET accreditation preferred).
- Technical leadership in multidiscipline team environments.
- Experience with analog, digital, and/or RF design.
- Design, testing, and integration of digital, mixed-signal, and electrical system interconnects.
- Proficiency with integrated development environments and debugging tools.
- Self-starter with strong workload management skills.
- Experience in team environments with technical writing and formal presentation skills.
- Project management, bid, and proposal experience.
- Knowledge of computer architecture, hardware optimization, and programming languages.
- Experience reusing existing designs for new units under test (UUTs) and configurations.
- Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
- Familiarity with RTX projects, programs, or systems.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD. The final offer considers factors such as experience, location, education, and key skills.
