Senior Electrical Engineer (Hardware)
About the role
Join us in building the next generation of intelligent tools. As a Senior Electrical Engineer in Elyria, OH or Rockford, IL, you’ll collaborate with Mechanical, Embedded Systems, and Software teams to turn bold concepts into reliable products that delight customers and fuel our growth. You’ll drive the design of power and mixed-signal electronics for applications such as motor control, BLE connectivity, and electrical test & measurement. Your impact will be immediate and lasting!
Responsibilities
- Carry out circuit design and PCB layout while following relevant design standards.
- Define, plan, and coordinate development, product qualification, safety, and regulatory-compliance testing.
- Evaluate new and emerging technologies.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior engineers, including hands-on problem solving, and debugging.
- Support field investigations, manufacturing, and supply chain issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with electrical engineering for product design.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States—sponsorship will not be provided.
- Proficiency in circuit design and PCB layout.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with electrical safety, functional safety, and EMC compliance standards.
- Experience with reliability modeling and rugged environmental design.
- Design experience with mass-produced electronics (PCBAs, cable assemblies, etc.).
- Experience with embedded systems using microcontrollers.
Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
