Your impact At Jacobs, we’re transforming intangible ideas into innovative solutions designing the future - today. We’re seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team on a hybrid schedule to support our Jacobs office in NYC, One Penn Plaza.

Responsibilities

  • Use your vast experience in the industry and apply it to solving today’s challenges.
  • Work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide by providing a range of skills as part of an integrated building services design.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.
  • Prepare load analysis for different stages of design.
  • Prepare drawings detailing the system designed.
  • Prepare basis of design report for the project.
  • Prepare and document energy compliance calculations and forms.
  • Select equipment and fixtures for use in the building.
  • Cook up work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Active New York Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • United States Citizenship
  • At least 10 years of experience working in a corporate engineering environment in an electrical engineering capacity
  • Proficiency in Revit and 3D CADD

Qualifications

  • Attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, and remaining dedicated to teamwork

Skills

  • Experience working on data centers, power, UPS systems, and generator systems

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $126,100.00 to $220,600.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
