Responsibilities

  • Leverage technical prowess and leadership skills to shape innovative electrical solutions.
  • Ensure operational excellence, safety, and sustainability in electrical systems design.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage CAD work and lead projects.
  • Manage resources effectively, including short circuit analysis, arc flash studies, voltage drop calculations, and cable sizing.
  • Work with vendors, field teams, and internal departments to coordinate projects.
  • Apply advanced skills in power system modeling, control systems, and hardware interfacing for industrial projects.
  • Engage in technical seminars, professional organizations, and ongoing education to stay updated on industry trends.
  • Provide strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering; Professional Engineer license preferred.
  • Over 10 years of extensive experience in electrical systems design within consulting or related fields.
  • Thorough knowledge of single line diagrams, P&IDs, NFPA standards, and power distribution hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical design tools such as AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit or BIM software is a plus.
  • Proficiency in power system modeling, control systems, and hardware interfacing for industrial projects.
  • Experience with SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software.
  • Additional expertise in lighting design, grounding, lightning protection, fire alarm systems, hazardous area classification, telecommunications, and energy-efficient design practices.
  • Excellent resource management skills, with the ability to delegate CAD work and lead multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Nice to have: Experience with photometrics using AGI32, knowledge of heat trace design, utility interface development, and sustainable energy practices, familiarity with OSHA standards, BICSI guidelines, and US Green Building Council Certification, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
