Responsibilities

  • Interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates large engineering assignments.
  • Ensures budget adherence, schedule adherence, quality control, and inter-discipline coordination.
  • Plans and develops engineering projects with unique or controversial problems.
  • Maintains liaison with individuals within and outside the firm on technical matters.
  • Serves as a team leader, supervising and reviewing the work of engineers and designers.
  • Engages in client contact and business development activities.
  • Prepares or supervises preparation of contract proposals and participates in presentations.
  • Maintains regular meetings with clients to define project scope, present progress, and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Accepts or rejects major items involving materials, equipment, manufacturer's quality, and field construction.
  • Maintains continuing professional education as required by state regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with full professional registration required.
  • At least ten years of related practical experience, with industrial manufacturing facilities design experience preferred.
  • Experience in lieu of professional license may be approved in select disciplines at the sole discretion of SSOE.
  • Valid driver's license required, may be waived for international assignments.
