Senior Electrical Engineer
Job Duties
- Using AutoCAD, REVIT, ELUM, SKM, Comcheck and other software platforms for integrated engineering design solutions
- Designing systems in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC) and International Energy Conservation Code (IECC)
- Designing electrical engineering projects from concept to completion
- Designing electrical power systems, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarm systems and other similar electrical engineering projects for engineering services
- Providing site surveys, investigation, construction oversight, and detailed reporting
- Leading project discipline and serving as primary contact for the discipline with clients
- Performing Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) of design work and preparing detailed design documents
- Overseeing and providing guidance to junior electrical engineers
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5 years of electrical design experience in the building design/construction industry
- Advanced knowledge in the design of power distribution, fire alarm, data and communication, lighting, and emergency power systems
- Familiarity with local codes, standards, and design guidelines
- Proficiency in Revit and MS Office
