Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Duties

  • Using AutoCAD, REVIT, ELUM, SKM, Comcheck and other software platforms for integrated engineering design solutions
  • Designing systems in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC) and International Energy Conservation Code (IECC)
  • Designing electrical engineering projects from concept to completion
  • Designing electrical power systems, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarm systems and other similar electrical engineering projects for engineering services
  • Providing site surveys, investigation, construction oversight, and detailed reporting
  • Leading project discipline and serving as primary contact for the discipline with clients
  • Performing Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) of design work and preparing detailed design documents
  • Overseeing and providing guidance to junior electrical engineers

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5 years of electrical design experience in the building design/construction industry
  • Advanced knowledge in the design of power distribution, fire alarm, data and communication, lighting, and emergency power systems
  • Familiarity with local codes, standards, and design guidelines
  • Proficiency in Revit and MS Office
