Senior Electrical Engineer
About the role
The Senior Electrical Engineer will work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment responsible for designing building systems and producing construction documentation for institutional projects in the higher education, government and healthcare markets.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems including lighting, power, fire alarm, telecom and security.
- Develop calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.
- Develop electrical system design calculations.
- Prepare detailed design documents in REVIT.
- Perform QA/QC design work.
- Lead a project team and manage projects.
- Cook with Owners and Architects.
- Cook with other disciplines.
- Complete code compliance research.
- Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers.
- Aid in the procurement of new work; including the development of client relations.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years design experience as registered engineer.
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A Professional Engineer license, PE.
- Experience with complex institutional projects.
- LEED experience, certification is desired.
- Familiarity with codes, standards and design guidelines.

- Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work.
- Ability to lead a team as well as work as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Revit and MS Office.
