Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Preparing specifications and data sheets, including transformers, switchgear, motors, UPS, etc.
• Conducting power system analysis and relay coordination
• Supporting programming for various electrical equipment
• Providing hands-on support during site visits
• Leading project development, including budget and schedule creation
• Occasional travel to client sites and Nexus offices

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in designing electrical distribution/control systems and performing power system calculations
• High Voltage Substation Design (up to 345 kV) experience preferred
• Subsurface and overhead transmission line design experience preferred
• Experience in project lead roles, developing engineering schedules, budgets, and forecasts
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including MS Project
• AutoCAD and 3-D CAD experience a plus
• Electrical design tools and calculations proficiency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in teams and present a positive image to clients

Education/Certification Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
• Advanced degree a plus
• FE certification desired, PE certification a plus

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
