Senior Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities
- Preparing specifications and data sheets, including transformers, switchgear, motors, UPS, etc.
- Conducting power system analysis and relay coordination
- Supporting programming for various electrical equipment
- Providing hands-on support during site visits
- Leading project development, including budget and schedule creation
- Occasional travel to client sites and Nexus offices
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in designing electrical distribution/control systems and performing power system calculations
- High Voltage Substation Design (up to 345 kV) experience preferred
- Subsurface and overhead transmission line design experience preferred
- Experience in project lead roles, developing engineering schedules, budgets, and forecasts
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including MS Project
- AutoCAD and 3-D CAD experience a plus
- Electrical design tools and calculations proficiency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in teams and present a positive image to clients
Education/Certification Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required
- Advanced degree a plus
- FE certification desired, PE certification a plus

Schedule
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
