Your impact At Jacobs, we’re transforming intangible ideas into innovative solutions designing the future - today. As a Sr. Electrical Engineer in our Philadelphia, PA office you will be joining a team that provides a range of skills as part of an integrated building services design.

Responsibilities

  • Design full low and medium voltage electrical systems and oversee the design of lighting, fire alarm and signaling systems
  • Design lighting systems including associated control systems
  • Prepare load analysis for each stage of design
  • Direct a design team in preparation of detailed project electrical systems drawings
  • Prepare basis of design report for the project
  • Prepare and document project energy compliance to applicable energy codes
  • Select and prepare specifications for electrical equipment
  • Cook up coordination work with engineers of other disciplines (mechanical, life safety, etc.) and with project architects
  • Maintain confidentiality with clients and projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Professional Engineer license (PE)
  • 12+ years of Electrical Engineering experience, including the following:
    • Experience working for a MEP firm required focusing on Mission Critical applications
    • Experience designing medium-voltage distribution systems and emergency generation

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Revit, 3D CADD, SKM and/or eTap Power Tools, Bentley BIM Knowledge of NFPA Codes and Standards, i.e.; 70,70E,130,502,101,110, etc
  • Working knowledge of other building systems (e.g. door finish hardware, IT building communications, lighting controls and BAS networks) as these relate electrical systems

Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $132,900.00 to $182,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Hybrid position (2 days/week in a local Jacobs office)
