Senior Electrical Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services Group. This role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, establishing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Cook up the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development
- Build rapport with clients and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings regarding electrical systems
- Take charge of the electrical lead on numerous projects
- Inspect schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at the project site in collaboration with the Project Manager, Project Architect, and other disciplines
- Divvy up the workload throughout the project development to ensure documents are completed on time
- Monitor the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure the work is completed within the agreed-upon schedule
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Regional Controller for project reviews with corporate management as needed
- Lead the activities of other electrical engineering professionals, and serve as a mentor to other staff members as needed
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED
- Familiarity with Revit MEP
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
- A minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
- A professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered
