About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, establishing client relations, and leading the electrical design process. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with codes and regulations, managing project schedules, and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Cook up the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development
  • Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings regarding electrical systems
  • Take on the electrical lead on numerous projects
  • Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect, and other disciplines
  • Coordinate workload throughout the project development to ensure documents are completed on schedule
  • Track the financial aspects of projects and coordinate and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure projects are completed within agreed-upon schedules
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Regional Controller for project reviews with corporate management as needed
  • Direct the activities of other electrical engineering professionals and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis, or a minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
  • Absolutely required to have a professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
  • Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting, and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems
  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software

Pay

Salary range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This role is full-time and based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
