Senior Electrical Engineer

This isn't just a job, it's a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence. HDR is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services Group in the Walnut Creek or Folsom, CA office.
Responsibilities
- Perform, plan, direct, and monitor work of the electrical design on large institutional/industrial projects through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a project
- Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
- Cook up electrical team staffing and workload to complete the Project on schedule
- Conduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines
- Review electrical documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
- Write/edit electrical specifications and select equipment, electrical systems and devices
- Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, RFIs, CPRs and change orders, and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents
- Provide construction contract administration as needed
- Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Electrical Engineers, Electrical Coordinators or Technicians
Requirements
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired
- Working familiarity with Revit MEP
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
- A minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems
- Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software

Pay
(Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)

(Walnut Creek): $151,988 - $217,125
