About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, establishing client relationships, and leading the electrical lead on numerous projects.

Responsibilities

  • Cook up the work of Electrical Engineers while keeping the balance of a multidisciplinary team throughout the entire project's development
  • Build rapport with clients and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings regarding electrical systems
  • Take charge of the electrical lead on many projects
  • Inspect reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
  • Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect, and other disciplines
  • Manage workload throughout the project development to ensure documents are completed on time
  • Monitor the financial aspects of projects and coordinate and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure the work is completed within the agreed-upon schedule
  • Participate in project reviews with corporate management as needed
  • Guide the activities of other electrical engineering professionals and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
  • A professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED
  • Familiarity with Revit MEP

Pay

Salary range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This is a Full-time Employee position with a schedule of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)

Skills

Essential skills for this role include:

  • Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting, and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems
  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software
