About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for coordinating electrical engineering tasks, establishing client relationships, and leading projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Cook up the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development
  • Build client connections, and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings regarding electrical systems
  • Take charge of many projects, acting as the electrical lead
  • Check in with various governing bodies for code compliance
  • Host schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at the project site alongside the Project Manager, Project Architect, and other disciplines
  • Divvy up the workload throughout the project development to make sure documents are completed on time
  • Monitor the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure the work is completed within the agreed-upon schedule
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Regional Controller for project reviews with corporate management as needed
  • Direct the activities of other electrical engineering professionals, and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed
  • Do other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis, or previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
  • Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting, and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems
  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software
