Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities
- Cook up the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development
- Build strong client relationships, and participate in the marketing, design and production meetings with regard to electrical systems
- Take charge of the electrical lead on many projects
- Check in with various governing agencies for code compliance
- Run schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect and other disciplines
- Divvy up the workload through the entire project development to get documents done on time
- Keep track of the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon schedule
- Give the Project Manager and Regional Controller a heads up for project reviews with corporate management as needed
- Lead the activities of other electrical engineering professionals, and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed
- Do other duties as needed
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis, or a minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)
- Absolutely required: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
- Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and building management systems
- Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED
- Familiarity with Revit MEP

Pay
The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
