Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to join our South Florida team in the Coral Gables, Hollywood or Boca Raton offices. This is a hybrid role (3 days in office, 2 remote).

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering and design for water and wastewater facility projects, serving as lead electrical engineer when required.
• Knowledge of the NEC and related Codes.
• Serve as electrical engineer on projects for water and wastewater facilities.
• Serve as a technical mentor for less experienced staff in local offices.
• Engage in Business Development activities such as proposal preparation and fee/scope development.
• Fill the role of Project Manager for selected Electrical projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
• 7-15 years of experience in electrical engineering and design
• Professional Engineering License
• AutoCAD experience

Qualifications

• Prior experience in water/wastewater industry
• Revit BIM software and SKM and/or ETAP power systems software skills
• Experience with instrumentation and control systems is a plus, including field and panel instruments, operator interfaces, and PLCs

Pay

Starting pay range for this position depends on skills, experience, education and geographical location.
