Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice and guidance for all phases of Electrical Engineering projects.
  • Develop Electrical Engineering projects utilizing new technology to enhance site safety, efficiency, cost control, quality control, and environmental protection.
  • Review, investigate, and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projects.
  • Manage maintenance and projects and serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on large/complex site planning/construction, expansion, or modifications.
  • Contribute to site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated Engineering areas.
  • Develop and evaluate Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) for capital funding requests.
  • Evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment.
  • Represent the site on company-sponsored steering committees, task forces, or teams.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and five (5) years of related experience in Engineering or a related field, OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and three (3) years of related experience in Engineering or related field.
  • Working knowledge and experience in electronics, PLCs, radio communications, and control systems.
  • Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of Electrical Engineering with an understanding of Mechanical and Process Engineering techniques.
  • Skill in researching and analyzing information of considerable difficulty and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Ability to manage large/complex Engineering projects.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to evaluate and implement new methods and techniques for operational improvement.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Strong knowledge of MSHA and OSHA regulations.
  • Familiarity with NEC and NFPA 70E standards.
  • Experience in cost estimating for electrical projects.
  • Experience with project financials, including S-curves and AFEs.
  • Skills in developing, reviewing, and analyzing P&IDs and electrical drawings.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or professional engineering (PE) certification preferred.

Benefits

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $105,000-$145,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.

Pay

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $105,000-$145,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.

Schedule

This role may require working a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.
