About the role

The Data Center Design Team at Fluidstack is dedicated to designing and operating 50GW+ of data centers. Key responsibilities include leading the design, development, and execution of cutting-edge data center projects, driving innovation in liquid cooling and electrical distribution systems, and influencing behind-the-meter designs for multi-GW campuses. The role involves providing technical oversight for end-to-end electrical designs, ensuring design quality, and maintaining consistency across a rapidly growing portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight of end-to-end electrical designs for large-scale data centers across the full power chain: MV distribution, LV distribution topologies, and rack-level delivery.
  • Ensure design quality, code compliance, and alignment with Fluidstack's technical standards across the power distribution chain.
  • Contribute to internal design standards, specifications, and best practices for data center electrical systems.
  • Maintain design quality and consistency across a rapidly scaling portfolio as Fluidstack drives toward 10GW.

Requirements

  • You have designed end-to-end data center or mission-critical electrical systems, across the full chain from utility feed to rack-level delivery.
  • You have worked at a hyperscale operator (AWS, Google, Meta, Microsoft) or a major mission-critical design firm serving hyperscale.
  • You are familiar with major topologies (2N, N+1, catcher bus, distributed-redundant) and understand when each applies.
  • You set and enforce design standards and review for quality across a portfolio.
  • You maintain design consistency while managing a growing number of projects.

Qualifications

  • You have experience in equipment specification and submittal review.
  • You have developed and scaled first-of-a-kind modular data centers.
  • You have influenced behind-the-meter designs and planning for multi-GW campuses.

Skills

  • Knowledge of power distribution systems and electrical engineering principles.
  • Experience with data center design and operation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
