About the role

Join Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division and help design the technologies that keep the world’s most critical systems running. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical aspects of power distribution & monitoring products, per approved engineering specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with overall manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and schematics for electrical systems.
  • Plan and test for Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) certification of new and existing products.
  • Communicate and support engineering team, designers, and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation of design concepts, tool drawings and shop orders in coordination with the Quality Assurance and Manufacturing functions.
  • Partner with manufacturing team early in the design process to ensure solutions are optimized for manufacturability, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Execute project activities with cross functional teams.

Requirements

Required (Basic): Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution with minimum three (3) years’ work experience in Electrical Product Engineering. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Qualifications

  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in design and preparation of electrical drawings (schematics, powerflow, one line, etc.). Experience in performing lab work with high power systems like batteries, UPS. Knowledge of three-phase power systems, power electronics, battery systems, protective devices, and power conversion topologies. Knowledge of high-power product design. Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
