Senior Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and guide design and construction projects internally within the office and externally with clients and contractors
• Leads new project pursuits by providing input on RFPs/RFQs and participating in project interviews and presentations
• Provides guidance, support, mentorship, and leadership to staff engineers
• Prepares, reads, and interprets technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
• Professionally stamps drawings, prepares affidavits, etc.
• Effectively communicates scope, schedule, and budget to clients, co-workers, and technical teams
• Interacts with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication
• Lead and guide meetings as needed
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks
• Coincides with all disciplines to integrate work and client requests into design
• Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements
• Research and analyze clients’ design requirements, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
• Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents

Desired Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; PE preferred
• 8+ years of experience with MEP design
• Experience with internal and external project management
• Experience in MEP design and specifications
• Experience with managing, maintaining and creating Owner and Architect relationships
• Experience in Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12 and Commercial market sectors preferred
• Proficiency with Revit/AutoCAD
