Key Responsibilities
- Lead and guide design and construction projects internally within the office and externally with clients and contractors
- Leads new project pursuits by providing input on RFPs/RFQs and participating in project interviews and presentations
- Provides guidance, support, mentorship, and leadership to staff engineers
- Prepares, reads, and interprets technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
- Professionally stamps drawings, prepares affidavits, etc.
- Effectively communicates scope, schedule, and budget to clients, co-workers, and technical teams
- Interacts with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication
- Lead and guide meetings as needed
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks
- Coincides with all disciplines to integrate work and client requests into design
- Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements
- Research and analyze clients’ design requirements, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
- Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents
Desired Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; PE preferred
- 8+ years of experience with MEP design
- Experience with internal and external project management
- Experience in MEP design and specifications
- Experience with managing, maintaining and creating Owner and Architect relationships
- Experience in Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12 and Commercial market sectors preferred
- Proficiency with Revit/AutoCAD
