Senior Electrical Engineer

The Senior Electrical Engineer will design and lead medium to large-scale complex projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Design/Lead medium to large-scale complex projects (focused on healthcare and mission critical projects primarily, but also open to commercial, healthcare, aviation, higher-education, and laboratories).
- Mentor junior staff and collaborate with outstanding multi-disciplinary teams maximizing our experience at the local, regional, and global levels.
- Work directly with our clients and manage key relationships.
- Design electrical systems for healthcare building projects, including power systems, lighting, and fire alarm.
- Design and perform calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.
- Prepare and review drawings and specifications.
- Review RFI’s and submittals from site and carry out construction administration work.
- Coverage with multiple disciplines.
- Work with project managers to deliver quality work within commercial metrics.
- Produce drawings, specifications and reports for internal and external purposes.
- Present technical material for review by technical and non-technical audiences.
- Understand trends and standard methodologies in electrical engineering.
- Participate in local industry Professional Associations.
- Connect solutions/ideas to bigger picture project goals.
- Deliver timely feedback and recognition to others.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
- 8 or more years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings
- Ability to prioritize effectively and balance assigned work. Exceptional organization skills are required for our constantly evolving environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team-based working
- Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels
- Experience with 3D BIM software - Revit MEP
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with design and analysis of renewable and distributed energy systems.
- Professional Engineering License in Texas
- LEED Accreditation
- Experience with power system modeling using SKM or similar software
- Project management experience

Paying Range
The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Houston is $130,000 to $ 155,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary.
