Senior Electrical Designer

About the role

This role is based in Cleveland, OH, but may be eligible for fully remote work based on the candidate’s advanced level of experience and home residence outside the commuting area. Minimal travel may be required to a company office or client site as needed.

Responsibilities

• Generate design and detail drawings including plans, sections, and isometrics to support Discipline Leads.
• Manage and maintain Project Documentation (e.g., flat files, reference/stick files, CAD drawings).
• Collaborate with management to estimate work hours, develop scope of work, check drawings, complete quality processes, provide monthly updates, and attend project meetings.
• Interact with clients to convey project design and identify scope changes.
• Interact with other departments and suppliers to obtain pertinent information.

Requirements

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit design.
• Associate Degree in a technical discipline or related experience.
• 8+ years of designing/drafting experience.
• Working knowledge of National Electric Codes, reference documents, and guides.
• Knowledge of power distribution (480V – 12kV), lighting, grounding, motor controls, and heat tracing.
• Demonstrated electrical design experience in energy, chemical, or industrial sectors preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
