About the role

P2S is a provider of professional engineering services specializing in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology integration. We offer services ranging from engineering and commissioning to construction management, serving markets including higher education, healthcare, ports/harbors, industrial, entertainment, commercial, laboratories, municipal, and federal sectors. We are headquartered in Long Beach, with offices in Seattle, Irvine, San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Jose. We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in healthcare or commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Support both pre-design and design phases on small to medium-sized projects, including healthcare facilities.
  • Apply advanced design principles, perform complex calculations and modeling, and prepare construction estimates and specifications.
  • Manage project budgets, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, prepare schematic designs, develop single-line diagrams and load schedules, engineer lighting systems and controls, and design power systems.
  • Conduct Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies.
  • Experience with low voltage building systems (Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, Nurse Call) is a plus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification preferred.
  • LEED Accreditation is a plus.
  • PE License is a plus.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.
  • Experience with California Building Code or Washington Building Code.
  • Experience with National Electrical Code.
  • Experience with HCAI/OSHPD.
  • Experience with Net Zero Energy/Carbon design.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of electrical design experience in healthcare or commercial buildings.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare codes and standards.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $150,000 – $190,000, based on experience. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.

Schedule

This role is hybrid — 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.
