About the role

P2S is a provider of professional engineering services to various sectors including healthcare, ports/harbors, industrial, entertainment, commercial, laboratories, municipal, and federal. Specialties include electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology integration. We offer services from engineering and commissioning to construction management.

Responsibilities

  • Support both pre-design and design phases on small to medium-sized projects, including healthcare facilities.
  • Apply advanced design principles, perform complex calculations and modeling, and prepare construction estimates and specifications.
  • Manage project budgets, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, prepare schematic designs, develop single-line diagrams and load schedules, engineer lighting systems and controls, and design power systems.
  • Conduct Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies.
  • Experience with low voltage building systems (Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, Nurse Call) is a plus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification preferred.
  • LEED Accreditation is a plus.
  • PE License is a plus.
  • Experience with AutoCAD required.
  • Revit experience preferred.
  • Experience with California Building Code or Washington Building Code.
  • Experience with National Electrical Code.
  • Experience with HCAI/OSHPD (a plus).
  • Experience with Net Zero Energy/Carbon design (a plus).

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of electrical design experience in healthcare or commercial buildings.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare codes and standards.

Pay

$150,000 – $190,000, based on experience. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.

Schedule

Hybrid — 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.
