About the role
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Economic Damages & Valuation team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven individual with a strong analytical and communication skill set to join a collaborative and growing practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage litigation engagements to evaluate economic damages, perform analysis and prepare economic loss reports, while not being identified as the testifying expert in the case.
- Having direct contact with current clients, when necessary regarding document requests, reporting findings of our analysis mostly in coordination with Senior/Executive/Vice President participation.
- Interact with clients, including face-to-face meetings, to gather data and information pertinent to the engagement.
- Prepare damages analyses, including determining appropriate methodologies and building and reviewing financial models, managing other consultants in performing tasks relevant to preparing a report our findings.
- Taking the lead in managing a file and writing the report in conjunction with a team approach.
- Review and analyze reports of opposing damages experts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Business, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or Accounting
- 3–7 years of experience evaluating economic damages in personal injury or employment litigation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality expert reports
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Advanced analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to manage deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong independent work ethic with demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively support and address client needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree with strong quantitative bias (e.g. Business, Economics, Math, Finance or Accounting)
- Experience evaluating economic damages in litigation cases; 5 years preferred
- Professional certifications (ex. CEA, CVA, ABV etc.), or have demonstrated progress towards obtaining relevant certifications.
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Additional Information
A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $90,000 - $130,000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
