Senior Ecologist

About the role

As part of a CIEEM Registered Practice, we are committed to delivering high standards of professional practice, ethics and quality. The Senior Ecologist plays a key role in contributing to delivery of these standards, primarily responsible for leading ecological surveys, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting, and managing ecological projects. The role includes mentoring junior ecologists, providing guidance and technical support to build team expertise, and supporting the delivery of high-quality ecological consultancy services. Responsibilities also encompass management of client relationships and business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead ecological surveys and ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
• Manage ecological projects from inception to completion.
• Mentor junior ecologists, providing guidance and technical support.
• Support the delivery of high-quality ecological consultancy services.
• Manage client relationships and contribute to business development.

Requirements

• Associate Member of CIEEM (ACIEEM) or an equivalent chartered professional body.
• Degree in Ecology, Biological Sciences, Environmental Studies, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable ecological consultancy experience across a range of sectors and project scales.
