About the Role
Shimadzu Scientific Instruments is seeking a Senior Dynamics 365 Technical Lead to guide the design, configuration, implementation, stabilization, and continuous improvement of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Field Service solutions. In this role, you will provide senior technical leadership across the full solution lifecycle, partnering with business stakeholders, internal IT teams, system integrators, Microsoft, and third-party vendors. You will help ensure that platforms, integrations, data flows, and supporting processes are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with Shimadzu’s business objectives and IT standards. Responsibilities
- Lead technical solution design for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, Field Service, and related Power Platform initiatives.
- Translate complex business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, maintainable, and supportable solution designs.
- Provide senior technical leadership from discovery and design through deployment, stabilization, and continuous improvement.
- Review and validate configurations, customizations, integrations, data migration approaches, technical deliverables, and implementation recommendations.
- Guide configuration and customization decisions by balancing functionality, cost, maintainability, security, user experience, supportability, and risk.
- Lead technical workshops, design reviews, backlog clarification sessions, solution walkthroughs, testing-readiness reviews, and post-deployment stabilization activities.
- Support platform governance for environment management, application lifecycle management, DevOps processes, deployment pipelines, integrations, APIs, data flows, security roles, release management, and solution administration.
- Promote reusable design patterns, configuration conventions, technical documentation standards, and implementation best practices.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor by presenting solution options, recommendations, risks, impacts, and implementation considerations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Coordinate technical activities with Microsoft, system integrators, implementation partners, and third-party vendors while reviewing deliverables and managing technical dependencies.
- Collaborate with developers, functional consultants, administrators, integration teams, business analysts, architecture teams, cybersecurity, infrastructure, data governance, and business application teams.
- Monitor system performance, recurring issues, integration performance, support trends, release quality, platform adoption, and user experience.
- Recommend improvements to platform stability, scalability, operational maturity, maintainability, supportability, and governance.
- Stay current with Microsoft product roadmaps and evaluate the appropriate use of new Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Azure capabilities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation covering configurations, integrations, data models, design decisions, deployment practices, testing, operational support, audit readiness, and disaster recovery planning.
- Ensure applicable cybersecurity, compliance, and data protection requirements are documented, reviewed, maintained, and improved in alignment with organizational policies and IT governance standards.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- An advanced degree or additional relevant technical certifications are preferred.
- Seven or more years of experience implementing, configuring, supporting, and technically leading enterprise CRM and/or Field Service systems is required.
- At least three years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, including Dynamics 365 Sales and Field Service, is required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, solution configuration, data modeling, workflow automation, integrations, and enterprise application integration patterns is required.
- Experience evaluating and applying AI-enabled technologies within Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform is preferred, including Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI Builder, Azure AI services, agentic AI solution patterns, intelligent automation, predictive insights, and governance practices for secure, responsible, and maintainable enterprise adoption.
- Experience with application lifecycle management, DevOps practices, deployment pipelines, platform governance, security, compliance, and data governance is required.
- Experience working with system integrators, coordinating external technical teams, reviewing vendor deliverables, and managing implementation dependencies is required.
- Experience using Azure services commonly associated with Dynamics 365 integrations, such as Logic Apps, API Management, and Service Bus, is required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership, is required.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and accurate technical documentation, recommendations, and implementation materials, are required.
- The ability to work independently, manage complex priorities, and collaborate effectively across business, technical, and vendor teams is required.
- Microsoft certifications such as PL-200, PL-400, PL-600, MB-210, MB-240, or related Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement or Field Service certifications are preferred.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD automation, data migration strategies, ETL tools, enterprise data models, Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services, Field Service Mobile, Resource Scheduling Optimization, IoT/Connected Field Service, or industry-specific ISV extensions is preferred.

Pay
The starting salary range for this role is $120,000 to $125,000 annually, paid semi-monthly. Additional variable compensation may include a discretionary year-end bonus based on overall company performance.
