About the role

NVIDIA is seeking software engineers to join the CUDA Tile team. The CUDA Tile team works on CUDA Tile, a new tile-based programming model for NVIDIA GPUs. This role involves designing and implementing compiler transformations, developing MLIR-based dialects and lowering passes, and optimizing tile-based kernels for efficient execution across various NVIDIA GPU architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement compiler transformations for CUDA Tile
  • Develop MLIR-based dialects and lowering passes for CUDA Tile
  • Optimize tile-based kernels for performance across multiple NVIDIA GPU architectures
  • Define public APIs for CUDA Tile
  • Craft and implement compiler and optimization techniques
  • Perform performance optimization
  • Contribute to general software engineering tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of relevant work or research experience in compiler optimization, performance analysis, and IR design
  • Ability to work independently, define project goals and scope, and lead your own development effort
  • Excellent C/C++ programming and software design skills, including debugging, performance analysis, and test design
  • Strong interpersonal skills required for working in a dynamic product-oriented team

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of CPU and/or GPU architecture
  • CUDA or OpenCL programming experience
  • Experience with MLIR, LLVM, XLA, TVM, and deep learning models and algorithms

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $152,000 - $241,500 USD. Additionally, employees are eligible for equity and benefits.
