About the role

NVIDIA is seeking software engineers to join the CUDA Tile team. The CUDA Tile team develops a new tile-based programming model for NVIDIA GPUs, which are central to the deep learning revolution. This role involves designing and implementing compiler transformations, developing MLIR-based dialects and lowering passes, and optimizing tile-based kernels for efficient execution across various GPU architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement compiler transformations for CUDA Tile
  • Develop MLIR-based dialects and lowering passes for tile-based kernels
  • Optimize the performance of tile-based kernels for different GPU architectures
  • Define public APIs and craft compiler and optimization techniques
  • Contribute to the broader deep learning community through your work

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of relevant work or research experience in compiler optimization, performance analysis, and IR design
  • Ability to work independently, define project goals, and lead development efforts
  • Excellent C/C++ programming and software design skills, including debugging, performance analysis, and test design
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a dynamic product-oriented team

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of CPU and/or GPU architecture
  • CUDA or OpenCL programming experience
  • Experience with MLIR, LLVM, XLA, TVM, and deep learning models/algorithms

Benefits

With highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package, NVIDIA offers an attractive employment opportunity. The base salary range is $152,000 - $241,500, and you will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Applications for this position are open until June 20, 2026.
