Senior Director Spine
About the role
The Senior Director, Spine serves as an expert and strategic advisor for the spine implant category, partnering with hospitals, physicians, and supply chain leaders to support clinically informed decision-making, operational performance, and overall value. This role combines deep knowledge of the spine market, emerging technologies, physician preferences, and utilization data to help healthcare leaders make informed decisions and identify opportunities for improvement. Working closely with spine surgeons, service line leaders, clinical teams, and supply chain executives, this leader uses spine implant expertise, utilization data, market insight, and physician preference knowledge to identify trends, support product and vendor strategy, guide standardization opportunities, and advance value across healthcare organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Working closely with customer IDNs, clinicians, physicians, and executives to develop strategies aligned with customer needs and GPO objectives
- Maintaining strong customer relationships and building trust with internal and external customers
- Conducting confident and articulate business conversations with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and executives
- Understanding supplier strategy, market direction, product offerings, cost drivers, and category dynamics
- Using market and utilization information to inform strategy and recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (Supply Chain, Healthcare, Business, Finance)
- 7+ years of relevant work experience preferred
- Must have proven track-record of achieving results and managing equivalent or similar responsibilities
- Deep understanding of the spine implant and/or medical device industry, including surgeon preference, product utilization, vendor dynamics, and emerging technology, is highly preferred
- Strong analytical, financial, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated leadership, professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
