About the Opportunity The hiring organization is seeking a Senior Director, Professional Learning to establish and lead its professional learning practice as an end-to-end national function. Operating remotely within the United States on a full-time basis, this leadership role is responsible for establishing the overall strategy, instructional content, delivery models, measurement frameworks, and commercial structures for the practice. Positioned alongside Customer Success as a peer discipline within the service organization, this role has executive visibility and the mandate to guide how educators nationwide experience the organization's learning solutions. Key Responsibilities Own a multi-year roadmap for professional learning and establish the operating models, systems, and frameworks needed to scale nationally.Direct the design of professional learning content grounded in adult learning science and the practical working conditions of educators.Recruit, lead, and develop a national team of Professional Learning Specialists and Managers, along with a certified trainer network, maintaining high quality across all delivery channels.Define functional success and impact metrics, partnering with Customer Success Operations to build dashboards and leverage data to drive operational decisions.Partner with Sales to shape the commercial strategy—including pricing, packaging, and bundling—to influence how professional learning is marketed and valued.Serve as the strategic voice of professional learning across Customer Success, Product, Research, Sales, and Enablement teams.Deliver executive briefings and communications that effectively articulate the strategic and business value of professional learning. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience building and leading professional learning or customer education programs in education, educational technology, or a related field.4+ years of experience leading teams.Subject matter expertise in adult learning theory and instructional design.Proven experience building or substantially scaling a function, including operating models, staffing plans, and quality standards.Strong data fluency, including experience defining success metrics, building reporting dashboards, and adjusting strategy based on analytical insights.Experience shaping, or readiness to shape, the commercial side of a services organization, including packaging, pricing, and business case development.Exceptional communication skills with a track record of building cross-functional alignment across executive and educator audiences without relying on authority.Deep familiarity with the K–12 or higher education landscape.Bachelor’s degree. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or a related field. Compensation and Benefits Salary: $160,000—$175,000 USD per year.
