About the role

We are seeking a Senior Director, Product Management focused on AI Strategy & Execution within our Wealth Services Platform. This role is located in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver AI-powered products end-to-end: Lead the design, build, and deployment of AI-driven capabilities (e.g., copilots, intelligent workflows, agent-based automation) that directly improve advisor productivity, client experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Translate strategy into shipped solutions: Convert AI vision into tangible products—defining requirements, prioritizing use cases, and driving execution with engineering and data teams to deliver production-grade software at scale.
  • Drive hands-on execution across the AI portfolio: Operate as a âbuilder-leader,â actively guiding solution design, model/application choices, and implementation approaches—not just setting direction but ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Establish governance while enabling speed: Implement practical frameworks for responsible AI, model oversight, and risk management that support rapid innovation while meeting regulatory and enterprise standards.
  • Build and evolve the AI roadmap: Develop a multi-year roadmap grounded in real delivery milestones, balancing foundational capabilities (data, APIs, platform services) with near-term releases that demonstrate measurable business impact.
  • Partner across the ecosystem to accelerate delivery: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to integrate AI capabilities into an open, API-driven platform, accelerating time-to-market through reuse and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS in AI/Data Science, or related field) preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in wealth management, including deep domain expertise across advisor platforms, portfolio management, client experience, and/or brokerage operations.
  • Proven experience leading the delivery of digital or AI-powered products within a wealth or financial services platform—not just strategy, but hands-on execution and product launch.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies (including LLMs, copilots, and agent-based systems) and how to operationalize them into scalable software solutions.
  • Track record of driving complex, cross-functional programs from concept through production in a regulated environment.
  • Experience building and managing product roadmaps, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes and user adoption.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and scale high-performing teams, including product managers, program leads, or AI specialists.
  • Strong influencing skills across senior stakeholders, including technology, business, and control functions.

Pay

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $175,000 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short- and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
