Senior Director, Power, Renewables & Energy Transition | Corporate Finance
About the role
The Power, Renewables & Energy Transition (“PRET”) team within FTI Consulting advises operators, developers, lenders, equity and infrastructure investors, law firms, and utilities on strategic decision-making, financial and operational restructuring, due diligence, transaction advisory, merger integration, business carve-outs, and performance improvement. Our team is particularly active in the metals and mining sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead workstreams on PRET engagements, such as running technical and commercial diligence
- Take day-to-day responsibility for delivery, organizing the work into streams, and effectively using staff members
- Develop the approach to projects or parts of large projects, anticipate, identify, and resolve issues, and keep senior project team members informed of progress
- Responsible for project workstreams and preparing major client deliverables, including their structure and content
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field, minimum of 7 years of relevant post-graduate professional experience, including significant exposure to metals & mining across operating assets and development projects
- Proven ability to lead technical, operational, and commercial diligence in the metals and mining sector
- Comfortable discussing mine plans, reserves/resources, processing flowsheets, asset management, and offtake
- Experience translating technical considerations into financial and commercial outcomes (e.g., project finance, lender/investor diligence, capital raises, or restructuring)
- Ability to perform robust analysis on complex technical, economic, and financial issues
- Ability to travel to clients and to FTI offices as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field, 10+ years of relevant post-graduate experience
- Experience in physical commodity trading, rare earths, and/or magnet experience

Pay
Minimum Pay: $154,500
Maximum Pay: $302,000
