Senior Director, Organizational Change Management
Job Summary
Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer, the Sr. Director, Organizational Change Management (OCM) is a critical leadership role within the GAF leadership team. He/She will own, architect, and execute the enterprise change management strategy for GAF's complex business process transformation (Skyline), ensuring high user adoption and minimal operational disruption while systematically building GAF's internal "change muscle" and leverage Skyline best practices.
Essential Duties
- Change Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive change management strategies that align with the plan. Create a clear vision for the future state and articulate the benefits of change to stakeholders at all levels.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage key stakeholders, including executive leadership, functional heads, and employees across geographies. Build strong relationships to garner support and involvement in change initiatives.
- Communication Planning: Develop and execute effective communication plans that address the diverse needs of various audiences. Craft clear and compelling messaging to promote understanding, minimize resistance, and maintain transparency throughout the integration process.
- Change Impact Analysis: Conduct thorough assessments to identify the potential impacts of changes on people, processes, and systems. Develop mitigation strategies to address any potential challenges and minimize disruption.
- Training and Development: Oversee training programs to equip employees with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the post-implementation environment.
- Organizational Culture Alignment: Lead efforts to align the cultures of the acquiring and acquired organizations. Facilitate workshops and activities that foster a sense of unity, shared values, and collaborative working relationships.
- Change Metrics and Measurement: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of change initiatives. Continuously assess progress and adjust strategies based on feedback and outcomes.
- Budget and Team Management: Oversee day-to-day line and budget management for communication. Collaborate with external design and technical agencies, ensuring alignment with project budgets and goals.
- Change Network Establishment: Establish a network of change champions and ambassadors across the organization to promote the adoption of new practices and champion the benefits of change.
- Leadership and Collaboration
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a key Finance business partner to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), influencing strategic decisions through data-driven insights.
- Executive Presence: Confidently present complex financial narratives and capital allocation recommendations to senior leadership.
- Strategic Influence: Ability to build strategic working relationships and influence decisions across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required
- 15+ years proven experience in change management, with a focus on ERP
- Required
- Proven track record of leading change for large-scale transformation processes
- Driving business results in a manufacturing environment
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Travel requirements: Min 25%
This position is based in our Parsippany, NJ corporate headquarters which currently operates on a hybrid in-office schedule. Though employees are welcome to work in our office on Friday, this position must be performed in-office on Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely from the employee's home office on Friday.
Qualifications Preferred
- MBA or Master’s degree in a related field is highly preferred
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess change impacts and develop data-driven strategies
- Strong understanding of change management principles and IT transformation methodologies
