Senior Director of Procurement

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments (e.g., finance, legal, operations, product development) to align sourcing needs
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to ensure uninterrupted supply, and competitive cost
• Develop long-term strategies for capacity planning and supply chain resilience
• Manage budgets and forecast procurement and production costs
• Ensure continuity of supply to meet production and operational targets
• Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service level agreements
• Build partnerships with Marketing for new product innovation and launches
• Leverage procurement analytics to form strategy and drive cost savings
• Implement procurement best practices, standards, and controls
• Lead SRM (Supplier Relationship Management), and regular performance reviews including a cadence of QBR’s (Quarterly Business Reviews)
• Perform regular risk assessments to proactively manage supply risks
• Leverage supplier expertise for raw material, and packing material innovation
• Monitor market trends and supplier developments to anticipate shifts and mitigate risks
• Lead and mentor procurement teams, fostering professional growth and development
• Define and track Key Performance Indicators to monitor supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Lay out a 3-year master plan, including “big bets”

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, or business administration. MBA a plus.
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in Procurement, and supply chain management, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years in a leadership position.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP.
• Demonstrated successes in building a continuous improvement culture.
• Professional certifications (e.g., American Production and Inventory Control Society, Certified Supply Chain Professional, Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) are highly desirable.
