About the role

The Senior Director of Principal Giving will lead the fundraising efforts for Asphalt Green, overseeing major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and individual giving initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of philanthropic strategies and a proven track record in securing significant donations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and individual donations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including donors, corporate partners, and community leaders.
  • Oversee grant writing and proposal development processes.
  • Manage the annual giving program, including stewardship of donors and cultivation of new prospects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align fundraising goals with organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in fundraising, preferably in a non-profit setting.
  • A proven track record of successfully securing major gifts and corporate sponsorships.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as business, communications, or nonprofit management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors and partners.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

  • Experience managing complex fundraising campaigns.
  • Knowledge of nonprofit financial management and compliance regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
