The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic executive advisor to customers and internal stakeholders, defining infrastructure roadmaps, evolving managed services capabilities, and ensuring scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized environments.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Vision
    • Define and lead the enterprise infrastructure strategy and managed services delivery across storage, virtualization, HCI, compute, and disaster recovery.
    • Establish multi-year roadmaps aligned to hybrid cloud adoption, consumption-based infrastructure (GreenLake, APEX), and digital transformation initiatives.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders (CIO, CTO) on infrastructure modernization and risk mitigation.
  • Architecture & Engineering Oversight
    • Oversee architecture and standardization of platforms including enterprise storage (SAN, NAS, software-defined storage), virtualization (VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V), and hyperconverged infrastructure (VxRail, Nutanix, PowerFlex).
    • Govern platform lifecycle management, including upgrades, patching, and technology refresh strategies.
  • Hybrid & Consumption-Based Infrastructure
    • Lead adoption and optimization of HPE GreenLake and Dell APEX platforms for on-demand infrastructure consumption.
    • Drive hybrid compute models integrating on-prem infrastructure with Azure, AWS, and GCP.
    • Develop financial models focused on cost optimization, utilization, and OpEx-based infrastructure consumption.
  • Disaster Recovery, Replication & Resiliency
    • Own DR strategy, including replication architectures, failover design, and testing frameworks.
    • Ensure business continuity through standardized RTO/RPO targets and regular validation exercises.
    • Integrate DR planning into enterprise-wide risk and compliance strategies.
  • Service Delivery & Operational Excellence
    • Partner with Managed Services leadership to enhance delivery quality, scalability, and automation.
    • Establish KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics across infrastructure services.
    • Drive continuous improvement in incident response, problem management, and capacity planning.
  • Client Engagement & Growth
    • Lead strategic client engagements, including assessments, roadmap development, and executive briefings.
    • Support pre-sales efforts with solutioning, proposals, and executive-level presentations.
    • Identify opportunities to expand managed services footprint and drive revenue growth.
  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams of architects and engineers.
    • Establish centers of excellence for key technologies (storage, virtualization, HCI, DR).
    • Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure technologies including VMware, Nutanix, VxRail, Dell PowerFlex, and enterprise storage platforms.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure environments across hybrid and multi-cloud ecosystems.
  • Strong background in disaster recovery, replication technologies, and business continuity planning.
  • Hands-on experience with consumption-based infrastructure models (HPE GreenLake, Dell APEX or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to align infrastructure strategy with business and financial objectives.
  • Strong understanding of ITSM frameworks, operational processes, and managed services delivery models.
  • Experience in performance tuning, capacity planning, and large-scale infrastructure optimization.
  • Excellent executive communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.

  • Prior experience leading and developing managers.
  • Proven track record of growing a business with documented cases of close collaboration with sales executives.
  • Expertise in hybrid cloud architectures integrating on-prem and public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Experience building or scaling managed services portfolios and delivery frameworks.
  • Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools (e.g., LogicMonitor, ServiceNow, scripting frameworks).
  • Strong financial acumen related to infrastructure cost models and consumption-based services.
  • Prior experience building or turning around high-performance managed services teams.
