About the role

The Senior Director of Finance and Operations (SDFO) will lead the finance, support services, estates and facilities, commercial activity, and strategic projects departments. Reporting to the Headmistress and collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team and Governors, the SDFO will contribute to strategy, financial stewardship, compliance, and long-term planning.

Responsibilities

• Leading a large and diverse team in support of an exceptional educational and boarding experience
• Contributing to strategy, financial stewardship, compliance, and long-term planning
• Ensuring that services are effective, efficient, and aligned with the School’s priorities

Requirements

• Strong financial and commercial acumen
• Experience of leading high-quality operations in a complex environment
• An effective communicator and relationship builder

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• A relevant degree or professional qualification in finance, business, or a related field
• Proven leadership experience in a similar role
• Experience in managing budgets and financial reporting
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Pay

Salary range: £100,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
