About the role

The British International School of Boston (BISB) is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced educator to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum aligned with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and other relevant standards.
• Engage students in a variety of learning activities that promote critical thinking and creativity.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute interdisciplinary projects that enhance student understanding and engagement.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic and personal development.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
• Support extracurricular activities and community service initiatives that foster a sense of belonging and global citizenship among students.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Education or related field.
• At least three years of teaching experience at the primary level.
• Experience with the IPC curriculum or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Passion for innovative teaching methods and technology integration.

Qualifications

• Valid US teaching license or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe.
• Experience with differentiated instruction and assessment strategies.
• Knowledge of English language acquisition and cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and educational technology tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
