Senior Director of Development

Job Description:We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Director of Development to lead and expand our fundraising and donor relations efforts. This senior leadership role will oversee all development initiatives, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, planned giving, and annual campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving revenue growth, building long-term donor relationships, and working closely with board members, senior leadership, and staff to advance the organization’s mission. The Senior Director will manage and mentor a development team, create comprehensive strategies, and represent the organization to external stakeholders. Responsibilities:Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet or exceed revenue goalsCultivate and maintain relationships with major donors, prospects, and key stakeholdersLead and support a high-performing development teamOversee grant writing and corporate giving programsCollaborate with senior leadership and board to align fundraising with organizational prioritiesProvide regular reports and updates to leadership on fundraising progress Qualifications:Strong knowledge of fundraising best practices and donor relationsExceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsProven ability to manage and grow a development teamPassion for the mission and values of the organization Preferred:Experience in a leadership roleFamiliarity with local philanthropic landscape in ConnecticutThis role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact while leading a dedicated team in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
