About the role
The Senior Director of Business Development, Intelligent Infrastructure Parsons X (IIPX) Sector, is responsible for driving digital and intelligence growth across Parsons' sectors by identifying, shaping, and supporting strategic opportunities where Parsons X capabilities can serve as a force multiplier. This role partners closely with sector business development and delivery teams to embed Parsons X capabilities into priority pursuits and active programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify Parsons X–relevant opportunities across Parsons’ markets, including transportation, aviation, transit, energy, utilities, water, public safety, and federal sectors
- Build and maintain a Parsons X opportunity pipeline in coordination with sector BD teams and account managers
- Maintain awareness of market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity related to digital advisory, data, AI, cybersecurity, digital twin, and asset lifecycle solutions
- Partner with Parsons Corporate and Federal business development leaders and sector capture managers to position Parsons X capabilities early in the capture lifecycle
- Shape win strategies that integrate Parsons X offerings as differentiators in solution architecture, pricing, and delivery approach
- Develop Parsons X value propositions, win themes, and messaging tailored to specific customers and sectors
- Identify and nurture strategic technology and channel partnerships that enhance Parsons X offerings and market reach
- Serve as a Parsons X ambassador at industry events, customer forums, and partner workshops
- Work closely with Parsons X leadership, corporate and Federal business development leaders, and sector executives to prioritize pursuits and allocate Parsons X resources effectively
- Provide regular updates on pipeline, pursuits, wins/losses, and lessons learned to Parsons X and sector leadership
- Support the development of Parsons X go-to-market materials, reference architectures, case studies, and internal enablement content
Required Skills
- A 4-year degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering (or related field)
- 12 years or more of work experience managing software delivery practices
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Desired Skills
- Experience working in the transportation or municipal markets
