About the role

IPC is looking for a Senior Director, Marketing & Innovation to lead the future of our brands. In this role, you will set the vision for our marketing, brand, and innovation strategy and bring it to life across a family of well-loved regional and national brands, including Kentucky Legend, Indiana Kitchen, Fischer's, Field, Mickelberry's, Kentuckian Gold, and Scott Pete. You will lead two signature efforts that will shape IPC's next chapter: a refreshed brand platform that sharpens who we are and why customers choose us, and a new product innovation pipeline that keeps us ahead of shifting consumer tastes. You will build these plans alongside a talented team and work closely with Sales, Operations, R&D, and Finance to turn strategy into results customers can see, taste, and trust. This is a high-visibility leadership role for someone who is equal parts strategist and builder—a leader who can set direction, earn buy-in from partners across the business, and coach a team to deliver work that grows the brand and the bottom line.

Responsibilities

  • Set the overall marketing, brand, and innovation strategy for IPC, aligning it to the company's growth goals and bringing partners across the business along with a clear, shared vision.
  • Lead the refreshed brand platform project from the ground up—defining brand positioning, architecture, and voice across IPC's national and regional brands, and rolling it out in a way that builds excitement across the company.
  • Build and own IPC's new product innovation pipeline, guiding ideas from early concept through testing and launch in close partnership with R&D, Operations, and Sales.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of marketing and insights professionals, including a National Marketing and Sales Director, Director of Insights and Strategy, Brand Manager, Business Development Representative, and Marketing Analyst, helping each grow in their role.
  • Turn consumer, category, and customer insights into strategies and stories that make the case for where IPC brands should go next.
  • Own the marketing budget, making smart, data-informed calls on where to invest for the best return.
  • Partner closely with the Sales team to build brand and category plans that support customer growth across retail, foodservice, and private label channels.
  • Guide IPC's approach to digital marketing, e-commerce, and content, keeping our brands relevant to how customers shop and engage today.
  • Manage relationships with creative, media, and research agency partners, holding them to a high bar for quality and results.
  • Present marketing strategy, brand performance, and innovation progress to senior leadership, translating data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Champion brand standards and consistency across all customer-facing materials, packaging, and communications.
  • Stay ahead of category trends, competitive moves, and consumer shifts, bringing fresh thinking to the leadership team.
  • Support other marketing, brand, and innovation initiatives as needed to help IPC reach its goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including proven success leading brand strategy and product innovation from idea to launch.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing a team of marketing professionals.
  • Experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) or food manufacturing industry strongly preferred; retail, foodservice, or private label experience a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with the ability to roll up your sleeves and execute.
  • Skilled at using consumer and market insights to guide decisions and build a compelling case for change.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to earn buy-in from partners at every level, including senior leadership.
  • Strong budget management and vendor/agency oversight experience.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and lead cross-functional work across Sales, Operations, R&D, and Finance.
