About the role

This role is about turning core messaging and positioning into a compelling field narrative for Braze’s products. It involves shaping the field narrative, owning the system for product information delivery, and managing a small, agile team of GTM PMMs.

Responsibilities

  • Take the core messaging and positioning built by the PMM team and shape it into a compelling, coherent story the field can carry into every conversation.
  • Own the system by which our products become legible to the GTM org: the plays, narratives, assets, and channels that ensure every seller knows what we offer, who it's for, why it matters now, and how to win against the alternatives.
  • Own how we go to market with our technology and services delivery partners — enabling them on our products and narrative, partnering strategically on launches and programs, building joint go-to-market motions, and aligning priorities so that our success and our partners' success reinforce each other.
  • Braze Services Marketing: Own the GTM narrative for our in-house services — support, onboarding, and education — and articulate the distinct value of Braze-delivered services to our customers as a meaningful differentiator.
  • Lead and develop a team of GTM PMMs, setting priorities, raising the bar on craft, and building the foundation for a function that will scale globally over time.
  • Partner with field leadership every day. Work hand-in-hand with Sales, Solutions Consultants, and CS leaders to understand where deals stall, what reps need, and how to translate product value into language that moves opportunities forward.
  • Translate complex technology into the language of our buyers — and coach the field to do the same: You make hard things simple without making them shallow.
  • Prioritize ruthlessly: Focus your team's energy on the narratives, launches, and plays that move the needle for the business — and have the judgment and the spine to say no to the rest.
  • Spend time with customers: You treat customer time as a priority, not a luxury, and you bring what you learn back into the messaging, the playbook, and the roadmap conversation.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a marketer who loves working with Sales and Customer Success. They are energized by the field, not protective of distance from it. The field trusts them as a subject-matter expert; Marketing trusts them as a strategic, thoughtful partner.

  • Deeply curious and fluent in the sales motion, understanding how deals actually get done and building for the way the field really sells.
  • An exceptional writer and presenter, able to translate complex technology into buyer-ready language and help a field organization do the same.
