About the role

The Senior Director, GTM will own financial strategy and performance management for Ethos' GTM business. They will serve as a financial thought partner to leaders across Marketing, Product, and Sales, focusing on GTM modeling, user acquisition, profitability, and new business evaluation. They will also interface with external partners through either a Corp Dev or BizDev lens.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own financial planning and forecasting for the GTM business
  • Drive efforts to better serve new customer segments, launch new insurance products, and/or partnership offerings
  • Apply business judgment and financial insights to drive decisions related to unit economics, customer acquisition, operations, core business expansion, and new opportunities
  • Improve the speed and efficiency of growth by collaborating closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams
  • Apply a data-driven analytical approach to influence decision making and support company leadership in evaluating strategic initiatives
  • Develop and monitor critical financial performance metrics, and communicate actionable insights to relevant stakeholders

Qualifications & Skills

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including:
  • - 4+ years in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, strategic finance, or consulting (with material CDD / Private Equity experience)
  • - 6–8+ years in Strategic Finance, FP&A, or BizOps (with a material data / financial focus) roles at a GTM or consumer-facing company
  • Deep expertise in GTM unit economics and growth efficiency metrics, including a strong understanding of acquisition funnels, cohort analysis, and CLV
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and highly detailed levels
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners
  • Motivated self-starter with a track record of success and a proven ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks while hitting deadlines
  • Stellar academic record with a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.)
  • SQL knowledge preferred
  • Prior experience with Corp Dev / Biz Dev preferred

Pay

The US national base salary range for this full-time position is $191,000 - $338,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
