Senior Director, Engineering

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space. This leader will own the direction and execution of multiple engineering teams, ensuring technical strategy is tightly aligned with broader business goals. The role will partner closely with product leadership to translate the roadmap into scalable, reliable delivery. It will also focus on removing cross-functional blockers, improving engineering processes, and guiding architecture decisions that support long-term growth and system performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple engineering teams to align technical and business strategies.
• Collaborate with product leadership to connect teams with the product roadmap.
• Drive process improvements for enhanced efficiency and scalability.
• Lead efforts to resolve cross-team obstacles and meet business objectives.
• Provide technical direction for architectural decisions to ensure system optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering roles.
• 5+ years of experience in scaling distributed systems and cloud-based platforms.
• Familiarity with AWS technologies (S3, SNS, SES, API Gateway).
• Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Ruby, Node, PHP, and .NET.

Pay

$242,000 – $292,000 annually
