About the role
The Competitive Intelligence and Analysis team at AstraZeneca plays a pivotal role in developing commercial and clinical strategy. As a Senior Director, you will be responsible for delivering competitive analysis and insights to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with investment decisions and positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of competitive analysis, leveraging knowledge of the Oncology therapy area and external resources to shape future-proofed TA strategies.
- Drive in-depth analysis of clinical and commercial data, generating and communicating critical insights to key decision-makers.
- Collaborate with a range of partners to influence strategy through intellectual agility and communication skills, building trusted relationships.
- Shape strategic direction and drive portfolio decisions that advance AstraZeneca's bold ambition to eliminate cancer as a cause of death.
Requirements
- Educational and experience: Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in research and/or data analysis, preferably with a background in oncology, clinical research, or investment analysis.
- Critical thinking and communication: Ability to think critically, communicate complex issues simply, and clearly, and present evidence-based arguments.
- Strategic thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and solve problems effectively.
- Agility and impact orientation: Intellectual capability, adaptability, and motivation to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with significant societal impact.
- Collaboration and leadership: Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing without formal authority in a dynamic, matrixed work environment.
- Proactive prioritization: Resourcefulness, decisiveness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly growing organization.
Qualifications

Schedule
This role requires a minimum of three days per week in-office working, with potential options in Boston MA, Gaithersburg, MD, New York, London, or Cambridge UK under certain conditions.
