Senior Director, Clinical Pathology

Responsibilities
- Clinical pathology assessment of preclinical results for platform and program support
- Review non-GLP and GLP study clinical pathology data
- Clearly interpret and report findings and position significance to program teams and broader audiences through descriptions, data tables, and scientific presentations
- Contribute clinical pathology reports and/or reviews for regulatory filings
- Consult with other internal and external stakeholders on preclinical study design and interpretation
- Actively participate in program and platform meetings
- Mentor the clinical pathology scientist and collaborate with all pathology team members to assure optimal support of data generation and analysis in nonclinical studies
- Share biomarker and translational expertise across Research and Early Development
- Participate in group, department and company meetings and activities
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience as a pathologist in biotech, pharma or at a CRO
- Veterinary degree and ACVP/ECVP board certification in clinical pathology; PhD preferred but not required in lieu of relevant pathology experience
- Demonstrated scientific curiosity/aptitude through a scientific publication and/or presentation record
- Strong interest in areas of Alnylam research emphasis; demonstrated experience preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability/interest to travel for essential company activities
Pay
U.S. Pay Range $235,500.00 - $318,600.00. The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
